Save your natural resources and maintain the ecology
Today, we are celebrating world water
day and hence the importance of water is getting highlighted. The reason for
celebrating world water day is to make people aware of the seriousness of
preserving water and its repercussions in the future. The intention of world
water day is to motivate people around the globe to learn about water-related
issues and to take action. United Nations Water (UN-Water) coordinates the
efforts of United Nation entities and international organizations working on
water and sanitation issues. These organizations keep special themes every year
on world water day and this year’s theme is ‘Leaving no one behind’. The theme
tackles with the water crisis by addressing the reasons why so many people are
left behind and cannot have access to fresh water when they try to.
We are learning since childhood ‘save
water, percolate water’ and its severity was realized when many villages in
India were facing drought conditions. However, there are many organizations who
are working towards saving and saturating water. Even villages have understood
the importance of saving water and are taking measures around it.
Natural resources need to be conserved. All the
natural resources like sunlight, land, water, air, forest, and animals among
others have been necessary for us. The flora and fauna are required to maintain
the ecological balance of the environment. The forests are a greater source of
our natural resources. The green cover, water bodies and the animals in their
natural habitat need to be preserved well. Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve has the
maximum perennial sources of water of which Tadoba lake is the largest. Fewer
distances from the water were favored as many species could not travel long
distances to drink water. Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve has been taking care of
water bodies and their management for the benefit of animals.
